Good metal stamping parts section should first control the burr, the burr to minimize, followed by the pursuit of bright band, many require more precise metal stamping parts, customers will put forward the proportion of bright band in the whole section, of course, this is the scope of precision stamping.

What are the section characteristics of metal stamping parts

In the normal stamping process, the cross section of the metal stamping parts has four obvious characteristic areas: fillet band, bright band, fracture band and burr. Four characteristic areas of blanking pieces and punching machines.

1. fillet strips. The fillet band, also known as the collapse angle, is caused by the bending and stretching of the material surface of the steel plate close to the upper or lower die but not in contact with the stamping die.

2. bright band. The bright band is caused by the plastic shear deformation caused by the upper die cutting into the steel plate and the material being squeezed into the lower die. The bright band is the area with the best section quality of metal stamping parts, which is smooth and vertical to the plane of the steel plate. Precision stamping is generally the pursuit of bright band.

3. fault zone. The surface of the fracture zone is rough and has an inclination of about 5 degrees, which is due to the expansion of cracks formed during stamping.

4. burrs. The burr is close to the edge of the fracture zone, and the crack is not directly opposite to the knife edge of the die, but on the side near the knife edge of the stamping die, which will be aggravated when the metal stamping part is pushed out of the die by the lower die.

Good metal stamping parts section should first control the burr, the burr to minimize, followed by the pursuit of bright band, many require more precise metal stamping parts, customers will put forward the proportion of bright band in the whole section, of course, this is the scope of precision stamping.
